IoTBank is a company that handles everything from device development to OEM development and solution development. They offer a variety of BtoB solutions that utilize GPS-LTEM. Their core service is "GeoPita." They spoke in detail about the solution that uses GPS trackers to centrally manage the indoor and outdoor locations and operating status of "people" and "things," as well as how to provide OEM and customization services to various companies.

Leveraging its DNA in communication device development, IoTBank specializes in IoT solutions

IoTBank is a relatively new company founded in 2019, but its roots lie in Future Model Co., Ltd., which was founded in 2009. Future Model Co., Ltd. has developed its own communication devices from scratch, such as SIM-free card-sized mobile phones and AI translators. This hardware development and manufacturing know-how is IoTBank's greatest strength.

With the goal of becoming a manufacturer specializing in the IoT field, the company has built a one-stop system from device development to system construction and operational support. Since its founding, the company has been involved in monitoring services using GPS devices, and specializes in solutions that combine outdoor location information acquisition (GPS, Wi-Fi) with communication technologies such as LTE-M. Nagayama himself has a unique career history, having switched from the fashion industry, but he meets the diverse needs of his customers with his deep insight into problem-solving cultivated in corporate business.

Main GPS tracker "Geopita": Its strengths are development capabilities and "thorough customer orientation"

IoTBank's main product, the small GPS tracker "Geopita", was originally developed as a high-performance child monitoring device for corporate use. Although it is palm-sized, it can manage up to 1,000 devices at once on a web application, and is equipped with history tracking and geofencing functions. Its strengths are diverse.

Flexible device development and OEM support: We also handle small-lot device development, which is difficult for major manufacturers to handle, and OEM manufacturing under customer brands. Our strength is our system that allows us to provide products in a relatively short delivery time while keeping costs down.

・Smooth integration with existing systems: "Jeopita" is provided with a dedicated dashboard, but of the approximately 130 companies that have introduced it (as of May 2025), nearly half have introduced it by linking location data to management consoles and business systems already in operation by the customer. We have a wealth of know-how in this "connection".

・SaaS, yet with a thorough customization orientation: Actively responding to individual customization, which is considered difficult with the general SaaS model. We listen sincerely to customer requests for "this kind of function" and perform dedicated function modifications and application development. In addition, common requests from many customers are reflected in version upgrades as standard functions.

・Ability to respond to a variety of industries and uses: Since we do not specialize in a specific industry but strive to design highly versatile functions, it is widely used for corporate use in the construction, logistics, and security industries, as well as for watching over the elderly and children, and even for managing the movement of vehicles and heavy machinery, and especially for tracking "things" such as small packages and keys. In fact, about one-third of the implementation cases are for things.

・Durability according to the on-site environment: In addition to products that are waterproof for everyday life, we also have a lineup of waterproof and dustproof models that comply with IP67 standards for use in harsh outdoor environments.

・Towards "location information + α": Geopita's evolution and the challenge of vital sensing
IoTBank is looking to use Geopita not just as a location information terminal, but also as a gateway to collect and transmit various sensor data. This is because they believe that combining "location information plus other sensing data" will create solutions with higher added value.

One of the specific initiatives is a focus on the vital sensing field. For "Lidcare," a monitoring service for elderly care facilities, they are developing a system that automatically measures data such as heart rate and body temperature from vital sensing bands worn on the wrists and ankles and manages them all at the facility, and are currently conducting numerous demonstration experiments. In the future, it is expected that this will also be applied to safety management of workers at construction sites and civil engineering work sites (such as heat stroke prevention).

In addition, the sales rights for the GPS monitoring service "Mamo Search" have been transferred to BBSS Corporation, a SoftBank Group company, and IoTBank will continue to work together by manufacturing the device and providing operational support.

Contributing to social issues and further leaping forward as an IoT-specialized manufacturer

In recent years, labor shortages and operational efficiency have become urgent issues in many industries, as exemplified by the "2024 problem" in the logistics industry. Against this background, inquiries for IoTBank's solutions, such as vehicle delivery status management, are on the rise, and the number of actual implementation cases is also increasing.

Mr. Nagayama says about his future prospects, "While location information services will remain at the core, we would like to actively expand our business into other IoT device fields, including vital sensing, and further solidify our position as a specialized manufacturer in the IoT field."

◾️Summary

IoTBank Co., Ltd. provides IoT solutions that contribute to solving on-site issues, based on the hardware knowledge cultivated in communication device development and a sincere attitude of listening to the voices of each and every customer. The flexible customizability and scalability of its main product, Geopita, has the potential to meet the needs of a variety of industries, and it is expected to achieve further growth in the future by providing value in "location information + α".
