The Japan Advertisers Association Digital Marketing Institute was established on April 1, 1999 as a study group within the Digital Media Committee of the Japan Advertisers Association (currently the Japan Advertisers Association). It has two distinctive features.
First, you can get the latest information that is useful for your work. Timely themes are always covered in the various seminars held for members every month and the twice-yearly forums. In addition, by actively participating in the research and investigation activities of each committee, you can come into contact with even more up-to-date information. In the fast-changing world of the Internet, many members are able to efficiently catch up on exclusive information available only to members and use it in their work.

-In this session, we will introduce the benefits of participating in DMI and the most recent implementation themes, and hope that it will be useful for those involved in digital marketing to gain new insights and discoveries.

In business, "use of location information" helps stakeholders share what is happening, when and where, and makes decisions with a deeper understanding and at the right time. I believe this is because location information has become the "language" of everyone in business. In order to utilize such location information and maximize the performance of the entire organization, "location intelligence" from a geographical perspective is essential.

This session will introduce ArcGIS, an enterprise GIS provided by Esri, a US company that has been a world leader in geography-based information technology, and will also provide a wide range of information on the value that location intelligence can bring to business strategies, including area marketing, supply chains, risk management, and advanced location information analysis.

Trade area analysis and area marketing using people flow data has now become standard practice for companies engaged in B2C business, such as multi-store chains (retail, food and beverage, service), consumer goods manufacturers, and commercial facilities.

Data that can only be obtained through foot traffic, such as the attributes of visitors to a store or area, the day of the week, time of day, and the trends of competing stores, is used in store strategies.

However, the insights that can be gained from location information alone are limited. To give meaning to location information and make more optimal decisions, it is important to combine it with various other data.

In this presentation, we will clearly explain how to use people flow data and other data to conduct trade area analysis and area marketing for companies, with a demonstration of GIS (geographic information system) and examples of how to use it.
