[Exhibition Concept] Location Data Utilization 4.0

This year's exhibition concept for the LBMA Japan booth is "Location Data Utilization 4.0." This suggests that location data has progressed beyond simple "visualization of people flow" to a stage where it is being utilized across a variety of industries and business types, and across the entire social infrastructure.

Going a step further from last year's theme of "social implementation," the exhibition emphasizes the application of location data to a wide variety of business models. Joining the exhibit are businesses utilizing not only people flow data but also mobility and transportation data for cars, motorcycles, and other vehicles, demonstrating the significant expansion of the scope of application of location data.

[Chaos Map 2025: Embodying the Latest Trends]

Location Chaos Map 2025: https://www.lbmajapan.com/locationchaosmap2
Exhibitions at CEATEC will provide an opportunity to experience the latest industry trends outlined in the "Location Data Utilization Chaos Map 2025," announced just before the event, as concrete solutions.

The five key trends identified by the Chaos Map Committee are as follows:

1. Industry-government-academia collaboration evolves, accelerating social implementation

2. Aggregation of real-time location information

3. 3D measurement and visualization technologies reach practical levels

4. Evolution of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs)

5. On-site implementation of data analysis and further segmentation of categories

In particular, advances in data analysis using AI (generative AI) are realizing a world where analysis is possible even without super data scientists, and this will be one of the highlights of this exhibition.

[Featured Conferences During the Event]

LBMA Japan will host the following three major conferences during the event.

1. Wednesday, October 15: All-Day Conference
Presented by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, LBMA Japan, and 10 member companies on the stage in the exhibition hall. The latest insights will be shared on a wide range of topics, including "Using People Flow Data to Solve Regional Issues" and "Measures and Examples for Breaking Through the Barriers to AI Adoption."

2. October 16th (Thursday): Location Information: Five Speakers Discuss the Industry's Evolution and Opportunities
Five female speakers will take to the T-Stage in Partners Park. From their different perspectives—data provider, analyst, and user—they will discuss the industry's current realities and future potential. This session is also noteworthy for its promotion of diversity.

3. October 17th (Friday): PAI (Positive Action Initiative)
Six speakers from the public and private sectors, including the Ministry of the Environment, JTB, Rakuten Group, and Mercari, will take to the stage in Convention Hall A. They will discuss "Value-Adding Decarbonization" as the next step in the "Location GX Project" launched last year. This session will be of great social value, aiming to realize the economic rationality that makes decarbonization a viable business.
